Azerbaijan has held discussions with European partners regarding the future supply of green electricity and hydrogen to European markets. The talks focused on the development of export infrastructure, regulatory alignment, and investment opportunities in the field of renewable energy.
The discussions were conducted within the framework of ongoing cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union on energy transition and sustainability. Representatives emphasized the strategic importance of Azerbaijan as a reliable green energy source for Europe, particularly in light of growing demand for decarbonized energy.
Key topics included the implementation of the Green Energy Corridor project across the Black Sea, large-scale wind and solar projects, and the production and export of green hydrogen. Both sides stressed the importance of accelerating joint efforts to meet climate goals and ensure energy security.
This dialogue reaffirms Azerbaijan’s commitment to becoming a major supplier of clean energy to Europe, supporting global decarbonization efforts and strengthening the country’s role as a regional green energy hub.
