A senior official from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy has stated that Azerbaijan and Israel have strong potential to expand cooperation in the field of renewable energy. The statement was made during a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of discussions related to the upcoming COP29 conference, which Azerbaijan will host later this year.
The Ministry representative emphasized that both countries possess complementary capabilities and shared interests in developing sustainable energy solutions. Opportunities for cooperation in solar energy, energy storage technologies, and knowledge exchange were identified as key areas for future collaboration.
The two sides also highlighted the importance of joint innovation in clean energy and agreed to explore investment and technology transfer opportunities that support their mutual climate and economic goals.
Azerbaijan, which is actively preparing to host COP29 in Baku, continues to strengthen international partnerships to advance its green transition and contribute to global climate action. The dialogue with Israel reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to fostering meaningful international collaboration in the renewable energy sector.
